If it is really from regular user, then is chance that B200 is from damaged PH and very little chance, that scanner error is because of some electrical instability due to short-circuit condition in PH.

Otherwise it has damaged PH and Scanner unit, its ribbon or motherboard.

There is a chance of damaged power supply but not big, rather small.

P.S.
Looks like big fun with repairing printers is coming :)

I just found an used IP4500. It seems it uses the same carts as 4300. Someone has any experience on it?
Is is as good as 4300?

I don't know the iP4500, but I think it was one of the last iP models to use the PGI-5/CLI-8 generation of cartridges. The print head will not fit in the iP4300. The print head in the iP4500 was originally QY6-0067 which was later replaced by QY6-0075. I don't know if this indicates that there were problems with the QY6-0067 print heads, so a replacement type was introduced?

iP4500 (QY6-0067/0075 gen printer) is superior to iP4300 (QY6-0061 gen printer) in terms of printhead design.

QY6-0067/QY6-0075 printhead is very similar to QY6-0059/QY6-0061 printhead but is capable of firing both 2 pl and 1 pl droplets from ingeniously designed nozzles, rather than only 2 pl (0059) or 1 pl (0061) from classic nozzles.

In practice, it nearly halves time of photo printing (compared to QY6-0061) or add 1 pl droplets for better print quality (compared to QY6-0059).

The difference might be only the print heads used. The QY6-0061 print head has normal and light nozzle sets for cyan and magenta. The QY6-0067 and QY6-0075 print heads have normal, medium and light nozzle sets for cyan and magenta.

So I think the iP4500 might well be an improved version of the iP4300 with better photo print quality. Let's hope this one is OK.

Edit: I see that Łukasz posted while I was typing.

Last update: the second second-hand MP800 that I bought impulsively is about to arrive at home.
Later today I will know if I will be lucky or if I got another expensive Knick-Knack :barnie

By the way, I am wondering if, to track the attempts to fix it and avoiding mixing topics, will be better to open another MP800 dedicated thread

I think so, as this will be about another printer and another problem.

I had an iP4300 and still have a iP4500, (Bought together) they only look similar that is all but the 4500 is a far better printer all round then the 4300 was, hence why I still have the 4500, it’s a real treasure..:)
