Hi @Enmet and welcome, I hate to have to say this, but it looks like your print head has suffered a partial electrical failure in the 3rd section from overheating, it’s not gone completely so you might think there is a way of saving it.

The Pro 1 self maintains its own print head and when it develops a problem such as this, there’s not much you can do except pull your hair out, the only resolution to your current problem is to purchase a new print head and probably a set of cartridges too...

P.S I was just looking at the price of a new head and you may not be able to buy one any more... https://www.crc-tasktron.co.uk/Item/qy6-0081-canon-print-head
:( :( :(

Thank you for your reply.
At least I know to not waste any more time or money on it.

Is it ever a bad electrical contact? Is it worth removing the printhead and then reseating it???
Wild thought

@Enmet, the answer is no not with this printer, head removal is not straight forwards as it is in other Canon models, it also wastes a lot of ink to do so, and in the end the results will be the same, if the printer can’t fix it, then its gone...

It is every interesting dough, that Canon are now stopping users from fitting a new print head, other printer may also follow, so beware ... :(

Possibly because of liability aspects of ink shooting out all over the place if it is removed improperly perhaps? Maybe this holds for all pressurized ink delivery systems. Uninformed users can do illogical things and the mfrs must take this into account to protect themselves and the user as well. Lawyers are always lined up ready for suits and not for wearing.
