Chip Resetter Primer

Are the cleanings initiated by you or are they automatically done by the printer?

Do you know how many ml's of ink were spent per one cleaning?

The cleanings are initiated manually. Four of the cartridges are used for white ink, which is a bit finicky & requires the head cleanings.

I also pull 5mls of ink from the waste ink tube using a syringe at each head cleaning.

I don't know how much ink is dispensed in a heavy head clean, but I don't think it's a whole lot. I've topped the cartridges off once since February and they are still more than half full & the waste ink tank contains 2 or 3 ounces, I would guess.

I do not see your printer listed in those compatible with the resetter. Did you get confirmation it will work with your P800?

InkOwl's resetter description states:
Maintenance Tank Chip Resetter for EPSON Stylus Pro 3800, 3880, SureColor P800

It is also a "QE 589" resetter, like the one I ordered on Amazon.

Also, in Jose's video for the 3880, he is working with the same maint cart as mine, T582 & according to Amazon, that's the cartridge used by the 3880, so....

Also Aries is currently in the house of Scorpio, so that makes me feel a little better.

I would still like to know the significance of the QE 589 chipset, though...

Well, I'm appropriately skeptical about the chip resetter, but I'll be sure to verify whether or not it works when I get it.
