If don’t get your money back, I would give the head a second try. Do a standard cleaning, print a nozzle check, do a standard cleaning again and a nozzle check again. If the problem still exists, take the head out and clean it in distilled water by letting it soak over night in 2 to 3 mm high...
What also helps is printing with highest quality setting. Especially with this small warping. In addition I always use quiet mode and longer drying time. But in the long run, the head is dead.
I also can’t see a problem with the black. Take a magnifying glass to inspect the row. You should see the dots of the ink and check for irregularities.
You can perform a printhead alignment to be sure that this is ok.
Cheers,
Maximilian
The timing wheel should be on the left side. Maybe illuminated by red light. What happens when you put all numbers to 1 or to 7? Does this change anything?
Also give the HP printer Forum a try: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers/ct-p/InkJet
Compared to Canon with a Redsetter, resetting Epson cartridges is a real challenge. Also you need good advise where and how to fill. I don’t know how it is with these cartridges, because some are not resettable when you print till they are empty.
Why not buying a new printhead? There is no better comparable printer on the market. Maybe you look at the new Epson ET-8550, but it’s expensive. You have to print a lot to get the money back.
No.
My Pro-1000 doesn’t make an additional print run on the paper. The gloss optimizer is applied at same time as the other colors. It is wet in wet. It optimizes more or less, depending on your print and the paper, the differences between areas with high ink lay down to those with less or no...
I did what Kevin shows in his video several times. You don’t need a ultrasonic bath. But you can put the nozzle plate in cleaning solution with a few millimeters height as often done with Canon printhead and wait a night. Press the head on a wet kitchen paper and you will see whether your...
For a hard clog like this you need some time. When you push cleaning fluid in and you do it with a tube, then pull back a little bit, so there is no pressure anymore in the tube. But try to avoid air in the tube. Then remove your syringe with the tube filled with cleaner. Fix it, that it won't...
For the ones doing their prints for themselves or just sell cheaper prints like greeting cards, this may be ok. I don't think Epson uses the same purity of pigments, or the same pigments for office printers and their printers for art printing. Good pigments with always stable colors are...
Yes, with tank printers things changes a lot. If you want to spend the money in advance, then buy one of the new Canon or Epson printers. You have to print a lot, especially for the ET-8850, to get your money back. On the other hand you can by the bottled inks and as a refiller you get the best...
It is not only that with Canon, it is the same with Epson. Claria HD are not better than Ecotank 106 inks. I tested them last year, but the 106 were printed without photoblack on XP-4100.
After six months on the window, there is no significant difference on the same Epson papers, if a difference...
To me it sounds as if the printhead is not properly released from the parking station. There is some sort of a latching mechanism to keep the head in place after shut down. There is also a loud clack, as if the it snaps of something. Please look in the parking area, whether there is some which...
