Canon Pixma Pro 100S Printhead Lock

I have a Pro 100S. I was able to print without any problems. There is no problem with the colors. The Nozle Check result is excellent. While I was printing a photo, I suddenly got the B200 error. I couldn't get results in a few tries. However, when I turned on my printer the next day, the error had disappeared. Again during printing, the same problem arose. I printed a photo, when the next was about to start the B200 error popped up again. Now the print head does not move.
I don't think there is a problem with the print head. Because the prints are of excellent quality. Is your opinion accurate? I know you are very experienced in this matter. I read hundreds of articles in two days. But I don't have any of the aforementioned problems. How can i unlock printhead?

I printed a photo, when the next was about to start the B200 error popped up again. Now the print head does not move.

Removing the top cover from your Pro 100 printer is not straight forwards anymore, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’ve have experience working with Canon printers, the printer did gave you the chance to replace the head but instead you continues to print..

So you could try powering the printer off while still on, by pulling the plug from the wall socket and leaving it to sit for 5 minutes.

Now try powering it on again and listen, because it may try and run a purge cycle, and if it moves then pull the power plug from the wall socket at that point..

You could also try sticking a piece of paper into the top lid cover sensor so you can keep the top lid open and watch the print head at start up.

It usually raises the head up and down on the purge station a few times before stopping again, when the head is raised pull the power plug quickly, then you should have access..

P.S. If you do decide to remover the top cover then keep the power plug in the printer at all times..

That's the B200 error messing with you. The Canon print head is the devil's toy and most likely will appear again. The next time may be the finale. Prepare, for the end may be near, and buy a new print head.

Yes i know, may be i'll buy a new printer. Do you have any suggestion after the Pixma Pros 100S?

Why not buying a new printhead? There is no better comparable printer on the market. Maybe you look at the new Epson ET-8550, but it’s expensive. You have to print a lot to get the money back.

If you intend to refill then find another Pro 100 if you like Dye-based ink, or a Pro 10 if you want a Pigment ink printer.

If you intend to only use OEM ink - to not refill - then the Canon Pro 200 (Dye-based) or Pro 300 (Pigment) are the heirs to the older Pro models. At this time, if you refill them you will have to turn off ink level monitoring and then increase your risk of running out of in during a print job and burning out nozzles. There may be other surprises if you do this such as increased maintenance purges.

What do you think of the Epson XP-15000? It looks like there may be a chip resetter for it now.
