Where'd this come from?
They have been at that for years, Canon print heads are designed to fire an X amount of ink and then cease, then give a bog standard fatal error message out of the blue, the older iP series print heads may not have had this restriction, maybe one of the reasons why they lasted so long.
Their calculations are based upon ink usage and not the number of sheets printed, Canon did changed most of their print head Code Numbers, I wonder WHY... ?
