Ya i think that was my problem last time. I didn't know what a resetter was.
From what I understand, it resets the 'overfill' or something...?

Can you please provide me with a link to a place where i can get these "top fill or German fill" cartridges?

I think we are talking over a cross line here about two different things.
First of all Canon and Epson make two completely different printers and so are their cartridges.

With an Epson printer youd usually use compatible cartridges for ease of resetting and refilling,
but Canon printers will work best with their own Canon cartridges.

The Canon cartridges that come with your printer can be refilled easily by boring a hole in the top
of the cartridge yourself (Reservoir side) and this is called the Top fill method.

The next way is to bore a hole in the sponge side of the cartridge (Yourself)
and to refill that way and its known as the German method.

Now a resetter is used on these cartridges to basically reset the chip to full again after refilling
so that the printer will recognise them as proper Canon cartridges and will allow you to print with them.

Yes that will do the job for you no problems, its a real beauty in fact but...
I would check other users of the R3000 printer before buying a CISS from inkrepublic.com first..
