Mike, you are using the OEM chips on OEM carts right? That would not cause a problem. The problem I think might be the fact that the OP's chips are being used under controller chips on refillable carts. The controller chip MAY be looking at something else besides the Chip Color ID code. But then I am only guessing here.

No. I am using resetted OEM chips in conjunction with controller chips. The controller chips as you know come in different flavors, maybe the ones the OP has issues with the full OEM chips.

Got a new set of chips in and is working great with the resetted OEM chips.
