AS long as there's not too much ink it's probably best to leave well alone. You really need to find out if the leak is because of a faulty seal on the cartridge or some damage to the pin in the printer that engages with the valve. You can give it a clean with a cotton bud for starters.Just read the service manual. There is a porous waste pad under there for ink spills and borderless printing.
