I suggested a place where you can get good quality inks and empty carts in the earlier post abovepcm81 said:Thanks for the reply.
Are there any gotchas with resetting empty 225/226 chips? For example epson 3880s can only be reset if above 15%.
I'll probably have parents buy OEM carts for couple rounds and when i have several sets of 225/226 chips i'll do the 220/221 conversion.
i.e. Precisioncolor and with refilling instructions also.
Now that USB resetter you got is the correct one for the 225/226 chips and the good news is
you wont need an extra one for the 221/220 carts at all.
When it comes to refilling the Canon cart, forget about Epson cartridges altogether because they are so different it wont help you,
besides Refilling the Canon cartridge is so much easier.
As far as refilling these cartridges are concerned there are no hidden things to catch you out
so just follow the instructions you got and youll have no problem.
Resetting the cartridges is the very same (No gotchas) you can reset them anytime,
half full or empty your choice and the chip will also last indefinitely, its all win win..
