Truelight 6500K tube
It's not just the color temp but there is as well a CFI parameter - color fidelity index - the daylight spectrum is typically continuous , the light of a tube is not. So such tubes get additional internal coating to equalize such spectrum to a degree.
It's up to you whether you (think you) need a norm light box , I have seen several assemby instructions on the internet for those. And there are some other points to consider - do not dim down the light in the room you are working with your monitor, the room, the walls should have some rather neutral wall color, not a predominant color of a paint or tapestry which may cause your vision system to adjust to another bias.

I often have been misled by soft proofing and viewing prints in the evening.
This could be an issue with the room light - different during the day or in the evening.

Now that I have a wide gamut monitor, I print what I see.
But the printer has some problems with blue sky.
See (not calibrated) scan of upper corner.
Cyan nozzle check is OK.

I printed the image again in standard quality i.o. high and the banding is much less visible, although the sky at the right is not 100% smooth.

What do you mean by this? Is that why the color of the sky is so different between the two images?

Yes, I mean don't watch the color.
I made a 600 dpi scan from the print to show the pattern. The second image is an export from LR to show the whole photo.
IMO it is linked to bidirectional vs unidirectional printing together with unconstant ink feed.
It worsens from left (where the printing starts) to right.
Same as the old IS magenta formula 6162 for the 9500.
It was on the limit and depending on the cartridge too.
Printed with standard settings it almost disappears, on viewing distance you can't see it.

Please post a cropped scan of your current nozzle check.

Do you mean the magenta
No, the entire nozzle check for all to see.

The banding in your image above is from which of your printers?

The Magenta issue you mention above is discussed on a different thread, right?
