Can't help thinking the direction is irrelevant if you're up a particular creek...

Thanks for thinking of doing that The Hat but as soon as it got sent your nozzle check would start to show some problems:) For now I will take back the pro9000 my wife has been using mainly for text & a few bits of ahrty stuff & she can use the pro9500 which still prints text ok it also does some very ahrty colours on photos:)

Woohoo the printhead The Hat sent arrived this morning. Thanks for that The Hat:) I lightly cleaned off the glycol & put it in the printer & tried a nozzle check which compared to my old head looks good except for the red which is not so good. I printed a few nozzle checks to see if the ink would get down but no luck. I then did 1 clean & nozzle check with no good result & repeated this twice with the deep clean option which did get a bit of red at the top of the patch.
I will leave it to stand the rest of the day & try another nozzle check tomorrow & if that's no good then maybe some windex down the red channel, what do you think?

Hi Rod, great you’ll got it, but not great it’s not working properly, it’s most unusual that the Glycol didn’t clear out when you first installed the head, the best thing to do is stand it in a bowl of warm water and Fairy liquid 1cm. for an hour...

It seems like letting it sit overnight has done the trick The Hat. The nozzle check this morning looks almost perfect, just a very hard to see feint line across the middle of the red patch. So I will just let it stand another day & see how it looks then. I'm a happy chappy:)
