12 hours gravity resting and new Nozzle Check.....but still preparing the syringes to draw some "blood" before final cut... 💉

Only 800 pages and reaching End of Life makes me sad...

Shout out to @Martin_1979
I am also a Pro-1 user from Slovakia, Bratislava. And I know some other people using Pro-1 here, too.

Anyway, I would never-ever put non-OEM cartridge inside the Pro-1 printer. They are significantly different in their built-quality, and they WILL kill your printer. Much safer route is to buy compatible ink (and chips) from a source with a good reputation and re-fill the original cartridges with this ink. That being said, with shipping, taxes, and import, the cost ends up to be not that very much different from OEM inks if you can buy them cheaply and possibly tax-free.

Anyway, if you need to get rid of some OEM cartridges because your printer is dead, I am all ears, send me a PM.

Is there any market for complete and empty set of PRO-1 original cartridges ?
AFAIK Octoink gives discount on their inks if you send your OEM carts in. Shipping them to Jose Rodriguez would make him happy just as well, although I don't know if he still buys them in - the market is dwindling. He used to sell modified carts that accept the 3rd party one-time chips.
There is still a market for selling modified OEMs and those sellers are for sure in need to get it somewhere from.

Jose just got a second piece last week, so he might be changing his opinion (or not). While he hates this very expensive girlfriend, he is still willing to get his hands dirty with her... old love never rusts!

This printer was run without due care or attention to the nozzle check, when there is an issue with a few clogs then a normal head clean usually solves the problem and normal printing can resume without causing any damage to the nozzles..

No that’s not correct, non OEM’s can work just as well, but like everything else you buy, there are very poor ink tanks out there too, and there might not be pigment ink them either, only dye, buy cheap, pay twice.

Jose Rodriguez does not buy Pro 1 ink tank, he use to get his spares free from a reliable source (Not anymore) and you can modify your cart yourself, but you’ll also have to purchase 1 time chips from AliExpress, so it’s not all straight forwards.

Lots of owners hate the Pro 1 simply because they don’t understand that it’s a professional photo printer and not a play thing, it fills that roll very well..
While he hates this very expensive girlfriend
It’s only expensive if you can’t afford to run it on OEM inks..

Now because of Brexit that avenue may be more expensive to get your supplies from , and you won’t know till you purchase something, beside octopus-office.de/shop/ is still a good place for all supplies..

Quite contrary, as of yet I love my Pro-1. Also, thanks to it I will never start smoking, never start drinking and never ever touch gambling. Everytime I buy a cartdridge, I say this is my cigarette money, this is for all the beer I did not drink last month, etc. :)
I am only afraid that once the maintenace pads are full, it will be the end of the road :-(
