I still have original black-matte cartridge that I took out 2 weeks ago...it's not empty, should I try to reuse
Cartridges can be changed anytime in the Pro 1, once the ink tank door is open, when the ink tank door is requested to open the printer decreases the pressure in the system to prevent spillage.

You can reuse the Matte black OEM cart again and put it back into the printer and you could re-use the ink in the compatible cart to top up the OEM black cart also if you wish.

The Pro 1 can detect when your using non OEM carts and can refuse to work till they are removed, the firmware update could have increased the machines awareness of this incompatibility issue also.. this printer is very aware of everything you do..

So...replacing cartridges did not help, there is no change in behavior. Startup is silent, just leds flashing and B200, no noise at all.

I will take it to local Canon service center. Price for replacing print head (in case it's print head) is about 200 euros there.

If you have any ideas what else I can try, let me know, I can still try, but it looks like whatever I do, there is no reaction from printer and I don't want to do anything more risky that could cause more damage.

Don’t waste your money taking it to Canon service, the instructions you were given should have worked, so I’d suggest a cheaper option would be for you to find a second hand Pro 10 and dump the Pro 1, while you still got some money left..

I really want to fix my Pro-1, still have lot of spare cartridges and it is quite difficult to find Pro-10 or Pro-100 second hand here in Slovakia (it's a small market). Maybe only once in few months somebody selling Pixma Pro.

I'ts in authorized Canon service now, maybe they'll find out i'ts not print head problem and repair would be not that expensive.

If your Pro-1 can’t be repaired at a reasonable cost, don’t discard the ink cartridges, In case you found later a second hand Pro10, you could use those inks to refill the PGI-72 carts. Most of the inks in both printers are the same, the exception being that the Pro-10 has only one Grey, equivalent to the Dark-Grey in the Pro-1 inkset.

Didn't know that, thanks for valuable info.

Why do you want to free the print head for inspection, because the nozzle check you kindly provided us says it all..

On block (2) the magenta, yellow and photo magenta have all got electrical problems that can’t be fixed, so your only alternative is to purchase a new print head and a complete set of new cartridges. No way out of it..

If your cost Conscious, then add up the price of a new head and the set of cartridges and put that against a new printer, you might find the new printer wins out, or you could try and buy a second hand Pro 10 as a better alternative..

If you decide to go the expensive route and buy the print head then PM me when you’ve got it and I’ll provide you with the instruction on how to change the print head..

Thank you :)
"your only alternative is to purchase a new print head and a complete set of new cartridges. No way out of it.."

After reading about this printer and gettings advices it is obvious to find the nearest dumbster, but I still want it to donate every single drop of ink from it's system for further use with my PRO-10S and connect my purge at the printhead lines. If you have another suggestion please let me know :)
