Thank you for the feed-back. Sadly I'm out of ideas of what might cause the error.

I don't know. I have no documentation for the MG5350, but the purge units for the MP610 looks differently from the purge unit for the MP620. So I guess the sensors will also be different.

Hello PeterBJ,
I'm back... I couldn't threw my old MP620 away.
I'm sorry!!
Then I decided to keep on my investigations and after many Hours trying different ways, I totaly took the Purge Unit out of the Printer and dissassambled to clean it manualy, pieces by pieces.
I took me 2,3 days and I brought it back to Life.
No Error message anymore. The little switch was responsable I guess (see the pic. in case some one would be interested in).

I'm impressed. :clap Was the faulty switch similar to those found in older printers like the iP4000? I admit I have dumped a similar Canon printer with a 6C10 error instead of taking it apart and trying to repair it.
the interest thing is that the switch didn'work properly as I mesured it with my Multimeter.
Than I sprayed contact fluid and it worked again.
I admit too, I Ieft my MP620 on the side for more than 2 years... and the purge unit seemed to be complety clogged with old Ink as I cleaned it.
Now the printhead is clogged too.
I clean it with wash fluid + amonium + isopropanol... Unfortunately I don´t get the Black pgm back.
Do you have the Pharmacist solution fluid proportion in mind?
I forgot the proportions.

Forget about it ...I found it again.
By the way... The MP620 purge unit is similar than the MP550 one, than the switch is the same too.;)

Ok, one little tip: A drop is per definition 0.05 ml, so 20 drops equals 1 ml. This means you need to add one % of ammonia. If you want to prepare 1 litre of cleaning solution then you should use 10 ml of ammonia. Instead of counting drops it is easier to measure the ammonia with a syringe or pipette.

Perfect.
I'm gonna prepare some fluid.
Any idea concerning the Msg "printhead not recognized..."?
Even if it's an original Canon QY6-0073?
