Canon Pro-100 Took a tumble and now I cannot get it working properly

Another thing is that I tried a lot of service tools on it.
When you have a mechanical issue no amount of software can help, you need to clear your current error before the printer will respond to any other commands..

I understand. I just didn't know if more specific information about my issue would have been included in one of those data exports.

The sensor on that board might be broken, maybe there is some other broken part somewhere, honestly could still be many reasons.

If I was working on that printer I’d think that sensor board faulty, and look for a replacement part. Yet I would not have been surprised if that doesn’t solve anything.

I’d look at used printers of your model and store or disassemble your bad one for spare parts.

Ok, I wanted to send you guys an update. I ended up ordering one from goodwillfinds online. I paid like $202 shipped, and Ihave a purchase guarantee whatever that means. (Probably that I could have gotten it for less if I had noticed that was an option)

Anyway, I am assuming that this one that I get should work with my inks and everything. Is there an optimal firmware version to get?

I'm excited to be printing again soon without having to run to Office Depot every 50 pages to get a pack of inks for $60. That's literally what it's like with the HP 8200 that I inherited from my mom. It also likes to update it's own software so you can't use 3rd party inks etc.. What a joy!

Good luck with your new purchase, but stay away of all these pesky firmware upgrades, they never do the user any good, if it’s not broke don’t break it..
