I tried calling Canon support, and they offered me their Canon upgrade program with an $1100 replacement. No thanks, I've got a lifetime supply of ink for this printer, and I really need to get it working. I had a second one that I borrowed the printhead from, but I didn't have the space to keep it around, so I put it out on the street and a stranger picked it up.
When I turn it on it goes through the whole startup process, but then at the very end it makes a 2 second screech sound and then the lights alternate blinking 17 times is (the orange light blinks 17 times and each orange blink is followed by a white light blink).
When I turn it on and it's connected via USB, the printer status shows idle on my pc. If I try and print a nozzle check pattern I get a support code 6010. Does anyone have any idea what my issue could be?
I sure wish that I hadn't gotten rid of my other printer now. I have so much invested in this think, and we have 3 kids which I've always loved just printing random pictures out and popping them on the fridge for fun.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
