The definition of "crisp" is variable, which coincides with your meaning?:-
crisp
(krɪsp)
adj
1. dry and brittle
2. fresh and firm: crisp lettuce.
3. invigorating or bracing: a crisp breeze.
4. clear; sharp: crisp reasoning.
5. lively or stimulating: crisp conversation.
6. clean and orderly; neat: a crisp appearance.
7. concise and pithy; terse: a crisp reply.
8. wrinkled or curly: crisp hair.

It is likely to be the result of a number of influencing factors in the chain, including Argyll, not just one and it could also be "me" and LR6.:)

I reckon the little guy eating the crispy seeds is in the pound seats and will agree with everything you say @3 dogs.

My Hat’s off to this little Houdini...:D

My comment and impression of your work is not restricted to this image.
Clearly you have taken to LR6 like a swan to a lake.........

Again I say the impression predates LR6.
That this has the sharpness around the eye in particular is credit to your application of the LR tools

Or the 7D II and 70-200 F4 (and me!). Do you reckon I used flash? (look at the original not the copy) (no I didn't, that was LR)

LR6 certainly has good sharpening and noise reduction tools, probably the best I have seen (in my limited experience). This is particularly effective and noticeable on the output prints LR produces. It also produces controllable emphasis on edges where colour change occurs. Great fun to use.
