@3dogs - Thanks for asking. The current fires are a fair distance from San Francisco. As the news has reported, they are most difficult to control and have destroyed or are about to destroy many homes and other buildings. All the trees and foliage are bone dry, and the winds we've had in the last few days spread the fire like crazy.
We did have a tiny bit of rain yesterday but only enough to wet the streets. The weather has also cooled somewhat. We are expecting an El Nino winter. The ocean offshore from San Francisco is warmer than usual, and this is a pretty good indicator that we will have more severe weather than normal.
