Hi Larry, welcome to our community and thanks for your question.

There's a lot of subjectivity around what is "best" (and a lot of opinions).

Maybe you can share more info on some of the things you're looking for in a 3D printer? For example:
  1. What's your budget?
  2. What size / volume print area?
  3. What materials will you print in?
  4. What types of prints, and type of quality/resolution?
  5. How much do you (and/or students) want to "tinker" with the workings of the printer vs. it "just working"?
  6. etc?

If you have low budget then you can try this ANYCUBIC Mega SE which are best budget friendly now. And for premium pickup can try these Flashforge Guider II S.
This Flashforge Guider IIS is a strong and sturdy industrial-grade FFF printer.
Now decision is yours.

Not the most high-end printer... just another Ender clone... but they have pretty good reviews on Amazon and Youtubers like them well enough.

Voxelab Aquila 3D Printer

Crazy to me that 3D printers are so cheap now... even an Ender 3 V2 clone for under $200... just amazing!
