Whatever the problems, Lexmark just got their reputation raised in my view after reading their candid responses to complains. eg:
I think this is the first time I see this level of honesty in a large manufacturer provided at "consumer" level comments.
Thumbs up for Lexmark.
If it's not a bother, could you please report back your experiences and a few photos ? This information would be valuable to other users facing the same issue...
I want to give Mikling a suggestion too.
He should only be responding to criticism by his customers. He has provided more than enough evidence of his diligence and customer care and anything more will be bumping a thread that unjustly hurts his business.
Yes, the CLI-8, PGI-5 generation. You can check yourself though.

Unfortunately, none. Furthermore, with the exception of MX7600, Canon seems to have abandoned the field of heavy duty inkjet AIO's.
And while the MX7600's opaque cartridges are very easily refilled as shown by jtoolman's videos, there is no refilling option for the reactor "PGI-9 Clear" liquid...
Sulfuric Acid will definitely give your printhead a well deserved rest. If that fails, I guess its Plutonium time... :)
Seriously, sometimes you have to let go. The fact that you've run entire cleaning cartridges through your printhead means that there is no serious blockage and Stratman was...
I believe Sathyakala's best bet are Indian sources. While overseas shipping is always an option (my first inks were shipped from the US and it was a great purchase), it comes at an increased cost. As Sathyakala is using a low cost machine, I doubt that she would be willing to pay for expensive...
I agree. Genuine inks are always reliable (although the possibility of clogging is not too remote and that's why they include those cleaning functions) as the manufacturer has the advantage of knowing the exact properties of their printers and then designing patented ink/additive compositions...
If you are happy with your prints you don't need to do anything. Your printer is cleaning itself automatically and you don't need to run cleaning cycles -- you just waste ink and hasten the waste pad full message (which normally occurs after some thousands of pages and requires a rather...
Did you see ink/black liquid coming out of the large pickup disc while you were gently pushing the printhead on the folded tissue ?
If not, you should try more push-ups and more Windex. If yes, and you kept on with the push ups until you saw clear Windex coming out, then your priming pump might...
If you are about to discard the printhead and buy a new one, here is a final option that may solve the problem with 0 cost: http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=241
I don't know. I don't understand what would change in the meantime.
What you should do is that you should avoid printing anything until you clean the printhead.
Ammonia based glass cleaner is sold under the name Windex in some countries. It's the cleaner with the strong odor. It's available on...
Your printhead's nozzles for the pigmented black (mainly used for text) are clogged.
If you have ran a cleaning and a deep cleaning cycle and the problem persists, try this method.
