If there isn't an updated already-patched Windows 11 install then there will be. But do you want to trust someone else's hacked version?

Tonight I tried again to validate/convert my system disk from MBR to GPT and it worked !

Good news. Congratulations!

Now when I run the 'whynotwin11' utility pointed by @palombian, everything is OK.

Might as well try MS's own PC Health Checker. There's a link on my Windows Update screen in Settings even though I have it already.

Since Windows 10 will be around another 4 years then there must be something MS really, really, really wants me to have in Windows 11 to nag so much.

Yes, I see zero reason to upgrade in the near future. Remember Windows 10 doing the forced upgrade thing way before people were ready to accept it (especially the 7 users... 10 was still better than 8.1). The current version of 10 is way better than the train wreck that was released and forced upon people with little warning, especially the non-tech-savvy. It was not a good transition and it looks like 11 is heading the same way.

Back in Post #36 I had suggested several apps to clone a drive, specifically taking a source MBR drive (ex. your MBR Boot drive) and clone it to a target drive (new drive) that you wanted to be GPT partitioned from the start for Windows 11 use. Windows 11 requires a GPT drive booting from UEFI.

Based on reading and not personal usage, my top recommendation for ease of use was Aomei Backup, but you needed the Pro version to do the MBR->GPT conversion on the fly in the cloning process.

I'm using AOMEI Backupper Pro since quite a while and run it from an USB stick as a stand alone program, it's easy to use and does the job for me. The USB version can boot since recently from both an UEFI system or with an older BIOS. They offer a separate program 'Partition Assistant' to do all the drive/layout/formatting actions, Macrium would be an alternative.

I could not verify that MBR->GPT conversion on the fly in the cloning process (that fit Artur5's needs the best) could be done by the free version of Macrium. More so, the process I read from Macrium was more involved. The easiest seemed to be Aomei Pro, though you needed the Pro payware version to do it. Luckily, it is free today.

Macrium is an excellent app and the free version of it and Aomei Backup do what most people need it to do well.

The next 6 month update for Win10 - the 21H2 - version will come soon - at the regular Nov patch day Tuesday Nov 9. So there is still enough life in the Win10 version till 2024

I tried AOEMI backupper and it works well for that kind of tasks.
I was able to clone the System partition from my first HD ( MBR ) into the second HD ( converted to GPT ). Changing the boot drive preference in the BIOS, Windows 10 started without any issue from the GPT disk.

As expected, when I start Win-10 from the GPT disk, ‘whynotwin11’ says that my computer is ready for Windows 11, but when I boot from the MBR disk, it says it isn’t.

I’m not bordering my arse with all this hassle, it’s not worth the effort, I’ll just wait and get a whole new system when the time comes and then have Win 11 installed.. Simples.. I blame @stratman for this whole mess..

No hurry to move (I didn't say "upgrade") from my part.
IF I ever install Win-11, it will be with the condition that I'm able to move all my existing programs and utilities to the new system, as I did when upgrading Win-XP to Win-7 and Win-7 to Win-10.
No way I'll do a clean installI. It would take forever to get back all my programs running properly.
Another thing, if any of my current versions of Excel, Word and other daily used programs, aren't compatible with Windows-11 then I'll just pass. Win-10 forever
