Color photos don't print all that well with dye-based printers on plain paper or cardstock unless the paper or cardstock are specially coated for inkjet use. Printing photos on non-coated papers look pretty dull compared to printing on glossy photo paper or other specially coated inkjet papers. My wife has a very good Canon printer (ip5000) that prints very nice photos, but she uses it just for printing website pages on plain paper. For that purpose it is fine to use plain paper.cynrich said:I just need a printer that can print decent photos and day-to-day color printing on plain paper and heavy cardstock. We have a Dell 1110 laser printer for black printing. I don't need wireless, and an all-in-one would also be helpful as I do a lot of scanning.
Any recommendations?
