Also known as a "stacker assembly".

Found a parts catalog. See #133:

https://printcopy.info/?mod=pc&brand=Epson&model=Artisan+1430&page=1

Then clicked on the field for #133 and got

https://printcopy.info/?mod=spn&pn=1560247
Now you know the part number to search on Google.

Also, Epson's web site list parts supply distributors in the USA. The first in the distributed list is where I got the parts catalog and part number for the stacker assembly / paper output tray. Hopefully they or one of the other distributors can help, either directly or from a business near you.

Thanks, Ink... how do you suggest resetting those other carts? Would you use one of those little plastic units (a little longer than say, a box of matches) with seven pins that make contact with the chip? The pins are spring loaded. I have a couple of those, bought at different times for different cartridge sets.
If you don't know which cartridge types you purchased those resetters for anymore you'll have to try
once the cartridge reaches it's "empty" state. It should reset when power cycled at that point if it is an ARC.
I wouldn't recommend that , the status monitor would show 'full' regardless if you did a refill or not. I have seen with various cartridge types that power cycling did not reset all of them. It would be an option if you refill a cartridge while you keep it in the printhead carriage.
So just wait until the status monitor shows the next one empty/not available.

Very helpful thread, answering many gaps in my understanding.

websnail: I'm not quite sure what this means: "when power cycled"

Ah, you meant the resetter, not the printer! I kind of wondered... is this the photo you meant? Or do you mean the other side... I'd be happy to flip it over and shoot that:

The Hat: I did go and start a new thread but this morning I can't find it. Looks like it was deleted and integrated into this thread. Whatever! It's interesting... I think this website is more tolerant of thread drift... I've had my wrist slapped more than once, on other websites, when I dared thread drift. You guys are more tolerant, that's all !

Stratman:

Luckily I already had that parts catalog, and I found the stacker assembly right away, number 133. But I clicked on that field and could not pull up the part number. I even right clicked the field. I must be doing something wrong.

Ah, heck sez I, here's the other side of the circuit board. I remember now, I've been down this path... had to install fresh batteries a while back.

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
The ARCs work on an individual basis when it comes to the bulk of ARCs manufactured in the last few years. It's one of the frustrating things of ARCs that many don't have resetters available for manual resetting instead of the "wait till empty" routine.

Anyway, to clarify, my comment was more to say that you will be able to tell if your chips are the ARC type if you wait until one of the cartridges hits empty then remove to refill and then reinsert to see if the chip has a new "full" level again. Removing and refilling effectively power cycles the cartridge and would be preferable at this point.

My choice of suggestion (ie: power cycling) wasn't really me paying attention so apologies for the potential confusion there.

websnail,

You got it, even though the E was obscured. You must know this particular resetter.

Over at InkjetCarts I was told what I've heard here, that you can't go by just the version number. They say their chips are encoded to their own wishes and this encoding doesn't refer to version numbers.

could not pull up the part number
Just tried it from my posted link and still works for me. If it doesn't work for you then the part number is in the posted link:

. The parts number is correct. Googling "epson 1560247" without the "" finds several companies selling Epson parts. Sadly the part is out of stock at most companies but try this.
