Three cheers for Piezoflush!

I don't work for InkJet Mall, first of all!

I print almost exclusively with my 1400, but I know it won't last forever. So in March 2015 I bought a 1430 as a backup. I made some color prints, but then removed those carts and replaced them with a new set of carts filled with Piezoflush. My plan was to run a nozzle check once a month, I did that, and got perfect nozzle checks every time. The last check was this morning, and when I looked at my notes it had been seven weeks since my previous check. And - perfect nozzle check again - seven weeks!

I figure I've been uploading many questions and problems over the years and I thought it was about time I posted some good news.

Piezoflush obvious worked very well for you, but it must be emphasized that it should only be used in Epson cartridges and not in Canon cartridges, so congratulation for your great success, and thank you for your feedback.
P.S. It should be noted that pharmacist’s solution does an excellent job also and at a fraction of the price..

For most general storage and cleaning..

-20% isopropanol alcohol
-20% propylene glycol
-distilled water up to 100 %

This is to clean the print head and not long-time exposure..

-3 ml propylene glycol (or 2 % glycerol)
-20 ml isopropyl alcohol
-distilled water up to 100 ml
Plus add 1% ammonia to the mix.

Thanks, The Hat, I didn't know that about Piezoflush and Canon carts. As for pharmacist's solution, I did mix up a small batch. Being it's transparent it was hard to discern whether my nozzle checks were good or not. I do have some red dye, got it from MIS inks. How much would I add to the recipes you list? Also, using Pieozflush makes me an Inkjet Mall customer which gives me some cred when I ask for help over there.

Still, I'm open to Pharmacist's Solution. I take your points!

AFAIK Piezoflush is a product intended for use with Epson printers. Has anybody tried it for unclogging Canon print heads?

Just Put an @ in from of the members name to flag your comments, Like this @The Hat...
You can add a few drops of magenta into the mix to make it a bit more visible...

Aren't all Epson inks pigment, as opposed to Canon being dyes for colors & pigment for text for most of their printers? Then it would make sense to use Epson's formula, right?

Ok, I wasn't sure what you were pointing to.
Wasn't Epson all pigmented?
