When your printer gets a paper jam it is sometimes possible to slowly remove the offending paper by pulling it backwards but only if it is not crumpled up very badly, if it is then caution be advised because you run the risk damaging the one directional paper sensor.
There’s only one sure way to remove a paper jam without damaging this sensor and that is to remove it through the front, it’s also the most difficult and sometime near impossible thing to do without removing the top cover first.
I know its cold comfort now but there it is, because pulling paper backwards from the rear of a printer is a sure recipe for buying a new printer or taking it to a Service Centre..
