It appears there are resetters that will do unlimited chip resets available in the US.Don't know if they exist for the States.
At those prices a redsetter and a set of XL cartridges would cost more than the price of a new Pro 10 / 100 printer...

It’s a pity I couldn’t do the same with my auld memory to stop it fading too fast...Since all third party dye inks fade rather fast, I am reducing my (Canon) dye printers in favor to pigment.
Exactly. I have a set of PC 250/251 carts. When one starts to go low, I top them all off.They only reset when the printer has driven the electronic level to empty . I would NEVER tell you to run them dry and actually propose you top them off occasionally.
