I recently purchased a Canon MB2720 to replace my pixma MX892. I've had the MX892 for many years and saved a lot of money by refilling with precisioncolors.com.

I plan on buying a refill kit for the MB2720: https://precisioncolors.com/Max12Ref.html
Anyone here use these kits from precisioncolors.com?
Any tips or tricks on using auto-resets cartridges for this printer?

I read here some people disable ink monitoring to save on ink. I'm not too concerned with wasting a little ink if I can keep ink monitoring enabled.

I am concerned with the issue of removing a cartridges and not being able to re-insert it in the printer, or maybe this is just OEM cartridges that suffer from this?

Look at the "Instruction" tab in your link for instructions on use.

IIRC, forum member @mikling , the owner of the web site Precision Colors, has posted about printing something that uses the color(s) of the ink(s) you have just refilled in order to set up a little negative pressure in the cartridge to prevent a leak(s) from the cartridge(s).

See this link for more.

Thanks stratman, I think the instruction may have a typo.
"Stand the cartridge upright as it would stand in the cartridge (where sealing tape was on top)."

... the second cartridge should have been carriage? Reading "Stand the cartridge upright as it would stand in the carriage (where sealing tape was on top)."

Thanks again ... Steve

I'm finally ready to start refilling for my Maxify MB2720 using PGI-1200 and PGI-1200XL cartridges.

I'm hoping someone is willing to give me feedback on my plan to refill. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

From information in thread "My MAXIFY 5350 is on refill ink" ...
My MAXIFY 5350 is on refill ink

I should refill the OEM cartridges using:
these ARC ...
V-IN ARC
or ...
Boma ARC
(are V-IN ARC any different than Boma ARC?)

following this refill procedure ...
Octopus Concept; How to refill Canon PGI-1500, PGI-2500 Canon Maxify printers
(probably incorporate the use of scales somehow)

using these inks ...
Ink for PGI-1200 & XL
The Octopus site has no reference for PGI-1200 and PGI-1200XL cartridges?

Anyone know how much ink by either weight or volume should be used to refill PGI-1200 and PGI-1200XL cartridges?

I need a refill tool. Would the refill tool for PGI-1500 and PGI-2500 cartridges work? ...
Octopus Concept: refill tool

What's the difference between PGI-1500 and PGI-2500 vs PGI-1200 and PGI-1200XL? Only region?

Or should I make this refill tool created for Pro 1 carts by The Hat? ...

Thanks for your help,
Steve

It looks like the "Insert link" tool for this forum editor doesn't work correctly. I'll try and figure out how to fix these.
