Hi. Seeing as my CIS is now working I am now running low on ink. The ink it came with is a cheap dye type ink and the colours are flat. I am looking now for refills but there are so many options with so many different makes and prices that I am a bit perplexed. I would like the best but I am not a professional printer, photographer or anything and I am just wanting some good ink that lasts fairly well without it costing more than the printer.

PS: I am in the UK so I need to be able to buy it here.

Thanks in advance for any advice or experience you can share.

PPS: I have used search but many results I can't buy the ink here or its really expensive etc

I've been using Conecolor ink for over a year now in my R3000. They have very good technical help, although you sometimes have to pester them. They're not the cheapest, but definitely much less than OEM.

As for quality, I'd say that for an amateur like myself they're more than good enough for me. They encapsulate the ink just like Epson, maybe better if their claims are correct. As for longevity, they both many last decades when stored appropriately. I probably won't be aware of any fading or colour shifts during my lifetime. I believe Inkjetmall (the seller of Conecolor ink) has a reseller in Europe. I just forget what it is.
