OK i apologize if this is posted, but i have searched til my eyeballs became megenta shot and failed to find the answer.:he
Experimenting with old carts to learn how to flush, i'd like to use the formula here that pharmacist prescribes.

My local pharmacy acted like i was trying to build a bomb and refused to accommodate my request to order the material.
So what i find on Ebay is this.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tex-Lab-Sup...250?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a95e8ae02

Is this the type that i need?

thx
-mike

Or use Glycerine (pharmacist's alternative), which can be bought over the chemist's counter.

Thx all..........with all the options posted this is very easy now.

Really getting into this and i think the carts i flushed (BCI-6) were very clean, but sluggish to soak up ink like i see in mikling's videos, and much different soak rate that the CLI-8's i got from PC.
Probably why i dorked my i900D head that saw plenty of abuse over the years but still hung in there.

If you’re still having problems with your BCl-6 carts then dump them in favour of the CLl-8’s

The reason your pharmacist freaked out is that some people use PG to make liquid used in e-cigarettes. Here in Canada, typically pharmacists will look at your strangely, then order it for you lol.

Plumbing supply stores may have it too, as it can be used as an anti-freeze. It can also be used to make clear, transparent soap. you could tell your pharmacist that's what you're making he might buy that a bit more (probably heard it more than once) than use it to prep cartridges for refilling. I've heard that in the US' tractor supply stores carry PG as well

My wife actually makes soap AND I quit smoking using e-cigs. I've seen and use both products for different purposes.. Glycerine is typically much thicker than PG so it may work for our carts, but PG is probably the better choice.

Yes the stuff they sell in our chemist is Vegetable Glycerine & is thicker than Propylene Glycol. I buy mine online because I vape too.
