There are all great comments. I'm getting my questions answered & questions I hadn't thought of until now. I can see my choice is coming down to sticking to Canon so I can easily refil with the same dye inks I'm using now or turn my office into a real print shop & get an Epson with pigment inks. There are advantages to both of course. But for instance right now I can't print on a dvd. I need to do that. Prices on all of this equipment is so reasonable that initial cost is hardly a consideration. I saw an Epson 2200 on Craigslist, hardly used, with new unopened ink tanks for $125. The printer is basicly free. But I dread repeating the learning curve with Epson that I've just been through (and am still going through) with Canon. I'm a photographer!! I just wanted to print my pictures!! I guess it's a happy problem. Thanks again for the feedback. I'll post any decision.
