What about the Flexible filament that you purchased time ago .. I gather that you haven't found practical uses for it ?

I did but it wouldn’t print properly and clogged up the nozzle, after drying hard inside, requiring a complete new hot end unit, scratch 1 new hot end and 1 roll of Flexi filament, this was the first clog I’d had in years.. So I learned my lesson, stick with PLA..

I don't think I've ever had a clog before... maybe in the early days?

... of course, always printing with a .6 or larger nozzle helps avoid them a bit more than .4

Apart from 0.4mm. nozzles I have 0.25 and 0.6 sizes but the 0.6 are still new and unused, while the 0.25 was employed only for a single project that required small detailed text. Then I reverted to 0.4. It's my sweet spot for 3D printing.

Yes the smaller the nozzle for text the better, but 0.25 is a bit too small in my eyes anyway, I found 0.4 does a good job with 14 point text, Jasus @Artur5 it must have taken you years to finish the print with that size nozzle.. You’d have to check to see if the Feckin printer was still working..

It took around 20 hours printing each of the two parts. The text was only a few mm. thick but having to print the base of the models with a 0.25mm nozzle and 0.1mm layer height is what made it so long.

Anyway, printing the parts was nothing compared to the huge amount of time I spent on Openscad designing the models. It was my first try using the text function in Openscad and each time I modified a bit the files it took hours to render it. Definitively, this isn't the ideal software for working with text, if you’re in a hurry.

Thankfully I don’t have that issue, maybe because mine is not that well designed..
