Darn it @stratman, a little bit of steam strategically placed would have saved all the puffing and blowing and left Google without an elbow to lean on.... :hu

Nature's Pearls

I had to get out of the armchair and open the sliding window for this one.:)

As a side note, set to f4 i.e. max aperture on this lens, I found that the auto focus would not focus on the web, but insisted on focusing on the background foliage. It was necessary to focus on the branch and re-position, but that did not give accurate focus, for the centre of the web. I should have stopped down to f7.1 or higher.

Must be a right pain for the spider. Two hours later it has all evaporated.
Congrats @Emulator for bagging this week's POW with this wonderful shot :)

That's only through lack of other input. With a little more, we will have enough material for a PrinterKnowledge wall calendar.:) Definitely needs pigment ink.

Judging by the BBC's success with their annual calendar sales and you have a world market as well.

WOW There's an idea. You guys heard of the movie "Calendar Girls"

Based on a true story. At least as true as show business permits.

We could do our own - "Gnarly Old Printer Guys"

Strange but true - I have been stalking a big ugly spider for past week trying to get a shot of him as a riposte to Emulator's excellent picture. No hope for the web as lighting and position is bad.

Damned spider is smarter than I am. I spend 20 minutes setting up in a precarious life threatening position, and then he up and runs into his hidey-hole for the rest of the day. This has been going on for over a week now.

Maybe I will try and lure him out with a display of my suggestive elbows.
