Yes the Pro9000 does everything I want superbly AND really cheaply but I must admit when I saw a chip resetter was now available for the Pro9500 I got very tempted. Like Mike said for putting prints behind glass & club competitions the dyes are all I need. The only fly in the ointment is my Daughter has got me to print up some shots to sell in the arts & craft shop she works in & I can't really sell anything that isn't behind glass. Mind you two weeks have past & none have been sold. Maybe I need to do some nude self portraits:)

Since OCP does not make ink for 9500 pro, I wonder what other inks can be used instead?
There seems however to be a OCP Ink for Canon CLI-521, PGI-9 grey.

Can other inks for PGI 521, be used like Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black. But I wonder where could I get red, green,PM,PC inks?

The price need to be something like 1 liter = 21,97

I don't know if OCP make pigment inks for the 9500 but just thought I'd mention that the inks you're referring to are all dye inks rather than pigment so you'd not really be utilising the 9500 the way it was intended? Could it be that you're getting confused between the Pro 9500 and the Pro 9000 mkII which uses CLI-8 cartridges?

Given the ink colours you're referring to I'm thinking you might be as the R,G, PM and PC colours are all Pro 9000 type...

Does that help?

I did not notice that inks were for dye printers !
I'm just looking for alternatives to US market inks in Europe, the price need to be something like 1 liter = 21,97 not the crazy prices form us where largest size is maybe 500ml.

Geez the Image Specialists inks for the pro 9500 are very well priced I thought. Yes they cost more than dye ink which might make them look costly.

I think very well priced is from 1 liter = 21,97 to 30 like inks for HP. But since I never had HP printer, and according to this document
http://h10088.www1.hp.com/cda/gap/d...p&cp=20000-20058-20744-20843^27752_4041_100__

HP inks are pigment, yet here they state they are dye http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/ho.../HP-Designjet/C7791C?HP-Designjet-130-Printer

Compatible ink types
HP Vivera fade-resistant dye-based inks
Bad marketing on HP or they are selling different inks under same name? Either way I think using HP ink on Pro9500 would work, but I still would need green and red inks, and you can't mix them like with dye inks (I mix them to make red and green !). Any suggestions on what inks from HP lineup would work see http://www.octopus-office.de/en/shop/l/c/printer-ink-hp/

Thank you.
