Hat, basically you are right and I would not recommend it for careless use..

..but on druckerchannel a well known user had pigment in his L300, withhout problems as he reports. He is a heavy user and the pigment filling was probably spent in short time, so no or very little residuals of pigment in the tubes, I think.
Besides the ciss can be released and laid down on the back, can be moved or swiveled a little..

I wonder how many refillers are using 3rd party ciss with tubes/ink outlet at the bottom and are filling it with pigment - and how many of these are clogged for that reason.
These ciss are sold also without warning not to use pigment..

@costadinos

So any links to inks for drylabs? The usual Noritsu, Fuji minilabs (digital printers) don't know if they are calleddrylabs are very bad in gamut only half of say EPSON L800. So if they are called drylabs then that is very bad inks, but then I thought the inks were in the paper allready likefuji crystal archive paper. Perhaps I'm mistaken with terms, my bad english :(

So any links to consumable should clear this up. Thanks.
I have used HP dye and pigment inks in Canon, it's a shame they would not work in an EPSON L series would they?

I rebuild another P50 yesterday to an L800
it just performs great with it.

I have a question for everyone reading:
does someone experienced an 1400/1430/1500W/t50/t60/ Artisan 50 /R285 and other equivalent printhead that had so much to print head it broke to cheer exhaustion?

I have machines with CRAZY outputs, paperpath was completely brocken, or the rollers and had be replace, that one thing that sill worked was the printhead

cheers
serhat

Now that's a good comment from dpreview :
"Look at the number of cartridges in this thing @ 40$ per cartridge. It is cheaper to cover your home or gallery in LCD monitors controlled with a motion sensor than it is to print (That's what I did but no sensor)"
