I don't know which PGI-225/CLI-226 printers are most popular, but I think the MG5320 will meet your demands. Avoid printers that use only two cartridges, as these cartridges are more difficult to refill, and avoid the printers that use the new PGI-250/CLI-251 cartridges, as no resetters are available (yet?)
I have seen reports that if you disable ink monitoring instead of using a resetter print head cleaning will increase dramatically and so ink consumption, on the newer Canon printers. Are you using a resetter for your 220/221 cartridges or have you disabled ink monitoring?
