Would that be because you top them off before they are designated empty and before the ARC does its thing?

That’s most likely, but even then they go a bit wonky at times, but on the next reset they go back to full..

I'm surprised the vendors who created the ARC chips haven't come up with a resetter for the ARC chips. They could make more money selling the resetter instead of fixing the ARC chips to reset when they're removed when the ink is low but not out, which is really how the ARC chips ought to work in the first place.

Cartridge chips don’t control or have anything to do with how much ink is left in a cart, they only estimate how much ink should be left and also indicate the individual ink colour..

Just be thankful that your using ARC chips and not one time chips, besides it’s quite a big investment to make a resetter..
