That option is not available in XP Home. The only options are Automatic or Manual.
If you select Manual, you select the profile and Apply, that's it.
I am still looking at a work round for you.. :)

OK I got what youre looking for but I havent tried to copy it to a new location.

This is where it is located in my Win7 and PeterBJ has the location in Win XP above.
C:\ProgramData\CanonBJ\IJPrinter\CNMWindows\Canon iP4500 series\profile.dat

The file is called profile.dat and the best way to find it is to use the search
then note its precise location and then copy it to a USB stick.

If you have more than one printer connected to your computer then you'll get several files of that name.
It will have to be relocated to the same directory/file on your new computer.

if you have used one or more profiles they are all in that one file ok.:)

I've also found it, on my XP Home computer.

I've actually 2 Pixma 4200 installed on this computer. One is named Canon iP4200, the other Canon IP4200 Kopi 1. Kopi = Copy.

I connected the Kopi 1 Pixma to the computer and in printing prefences changed paper orientation from portrait to landscape. I then checked if any files in the relevant application data folders had a recent time stamp. Bingo! Here is the path for my win XP home installation:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CanonBJ\IJPrinter\CNMWINDOWS\Canon iP4200\Canon iP4200 (kopi 1)\0001

In my case the file is named Peter.dat

TY TY TY.

profile.dat is indeed in my I:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\CanonBJ\IJPrinter\CNMWINDOWS\Canon iP4500 series folder.

My system disk is I but that doesn't matter. Why I have a All Users folder and an All Users.Windows folder I don't know but that's the way the Window install disc created it. I just go with the flow.

PeterBJ and The Hat, thanks for sticking with me on this. I was able to find it in my backup and copy it!! I'm a happy camper now.
