If your intending to use a CISS on your Pro 100 dont bother its not worth it.
There are several reasons why, not to mention the cost and installation mess.

You would want to have previous experience of installing a CISS on another printer before attempting the Pro 100 installation.
Your colours are not going to be very accurate so good photos are going to be a problem and then there are the chips

The chips that are fitted to this CISS are only one time chips,
they are not ARCs so ink monitoring will have to be disabled, despite using continues ink.

Your best option is to save your money by refilling your OEM cartridges that came with your printer
and just disable the ink monitoring till a resetter becomes available in the very near future,
try here for inks. http://www.precisioncolors.com/PC42.html

Apparently even the above don't exist. I tried getting some to put onto CLI-8 bodies...it's a teaser ad. Cyber reality at this point.

Mikling these chips do exist and are genuine CLI-42 chips, Alibaba will not tolerate anybody trying to pull a fraud
and guarantee a full refund if the buyer is not 100% happy with their purchase,
these Chinese chips cant be reset with a resetter. :(

Been there done that already hat.
There is no price so you can't purchase. So you're always 100% happy with your purchase.

do you have the chips for the CLI-42?

Ron (2013-08-23 09:06:25)
Out of stock,sir

A further inquiry on restocking time and no reponse. They then want to know if you're interested in the other models. Baiting game, hat.

Out of stock for the last two or three months actually. Hmmm.....

Ill keep you posted. :frow

Is it only a matter of time for these chips to be readily available? They can't be massively difficult to make.

I think the chips are identical for all the chips with four terminals. Only the content of the chip is different. The chip at least contains info about cartridge type and colour and estimated amount of ink in the cartridge. But the content is encrypted as is communication between the printer and the chip. I think cracking the code is the problem in developing compatible chips and resetters. It took one or two years before the first resetter became available after Canon introduced the PGI-5/CLI-8 cartridge series that were the first Canon cartridges with chips.
