How to store a print head?

The best way is to have a set empty cartridges ready (can be cheap refillables) and fill them with the following solution:

-20% isopropanol
-20% propylene glycol
-distilled water up to 100 %

Perhaps because the translation is not the best, I was with doubt the percentages of three products.
What is the correct percentage? 20% + 20% + 60%

Yes it is: 20 + 20 + 60 = 100

I'm not sure if propylene glycol is still used in fog machines but it was available and cheap

It has been over seven years now since "pharmacist" proposed his print head storage fluid of 20% isopropanol; 20% propylene glycol; and 60% distilled water. Can any forum members give a testimony as to the effectiveness of this?

I'm waking up this long-dead thread because the story of how to store a print-head doesn't seem to be complete:
When you get ready to use your head that's full of preservation fluid, do you just put it in the printer, put carts in it, and print? (I'm assuming here that it hasn't been stored long enough for the fluid to dry.)

Assuming the print head was cleaned of all ink in it's passageways, flushed with distilled water, dried, stored correctly (dry), I suspect it would have no issues upon re-installation and a deep clean cycle.
