Not how but what.

What's it all about, these Attachments/Mine/Favorites you and Grandad posted about?
Ah... I see...

Basically you now have "attachments" that are associated with your account and these can be linked/referenced using the ATTACH bbcode rather than providing full URL's or whatever.

Looking at the options in the WYSIWYG editor it seems that there's no easy way to reference attachments again but the bbcode would be
[ ATTACH]16[/ ATTACH]
.. for this image:
printerknowledge .com/attachments/img_0410-jpg.16/
(Tip: Not the .16 at the end )... that's the reference.

... to give you this:
View attachment 16

I know that "attachments" are files you "attach" to something else, like a file attached to an email.

I have uploaded images files but not attached them, hence they do not show up in "My Attachments".

If I have this correct, then what does one use "My Attachments" for?

Note to @Nifty -- Incorrect grammar in My Attachments:

"There is no attachments to display."

"Are" not "is" used with the plural "attachments".

Excellent guys, thanks for all the tests!!!

Is there any way to get to the "attachments/mine" link without saving that link as a favorite?

I've answered the question with a screenie of how you get to the same page as Robs link via your profile.

So in your case you would locate "stratman" in the top right (next to inbox), left click it and then click the "My Attachments" link to get to the same place as this link:
http://www.printerknowledge.com/attachments/mine/

Wow, I didn't even know that link was added... BRILLIANT!! :thumbsup

I noticed the image in post #1 is 156kB and PNG format. The old limit was 80kB/image and 20MB total server usage was allowed.
It seems you can now upload higher resolution pictures than before, but what are the new limits on image file size and total upload, and what file formats are allowed/recommended?

The current limits (subject to change ;) ) :
  • Attachment Size: Up to 5mb each
  • Total storage size: Unlimited!

Sure enough, the uploaded file is listed in My Attachments.

What I was asking about was a little bit deeper than your reply, websnail. I also wanted to know what you can use My Attachments for. At the moment I see you can filter, view/go to attachment/post, and see some data concerning the attachment. I don't see any editing capability from within My Attachments.

I do like the clean arrangement of the information and the controls are familiar feeling. Still liking this software a lot.

You know us junkies, The Hat. Anything for our habits.

I'm off to make sure I give clean needles to my friend for his refilling kit. Don't want him to shoot up his cartridges with muck.
