I ve just been to HP site looking at the specs of their Premium Plus glossy photopaper and it looks like they ve changed it compared to what I have now. Mine is 280gms and slow drying the paper,on the site is 300gms and instant dry.(dont think Im looking at the wrong one?) Anyone confirm this change? Presumably the "new" paper is nt a swellable type anymore.

Also on a different note theres a huge amount of info on paper and ink life here. Loved the test showing Tescos (Uks Wallmart) own ink and paper had a life of 0.1yrs compared tp HP ink and paper of 73yrs! The ink did better on HP paper, managed 0.9yrs then.

PhilC,
Ozone is a pollutant and not necessarily due to proximity to the coastline. I think that it also may be produced by electrical equipment such as motors, etc.

A fade test where the photo is exposed to air and light would subject the paper/ink to both UV and ozone. I don't think that the results are necessarily conclusive regarding the cause of the fading. I have had incredibly fast fading with Kirkland paper and Image Specialist inks where exposed to air but no dierct sunlight and good results with the same ink but with swellable paper.
