Hello, new user here from the UK.

I am starting a new business and im looking for the following

An inkjet printer for around $300-$600

I will be printing my products on A6 glossy paper.

So i need a printer which is very cost effective on Ink without compromising the quality.

Any help is appreciated.

Firstly Welcome oaky72
Your preferences for a printer for around 3 to $600 are plenty but small inkjet printers are not very user (Business) friendly.

Most A6 printers only use 3 colours and they can produce a very nice photo indeed but if youre in business
and want better quality photos then go for an A4 printer because its capable of doing a much better print job overall.

Inkjet printers are not cheap to run so its better to do all youre printing in one load and not be doing one every so often..

Thanks for the advice.

I currently own (for personal use) a Canon MP272. The quality is excellent but the print time is slow.

It also costs 30 for 2 cartridges and im usure how many A6 high qualiy colour prints i will get for 30. I will obviously need to test it until they empty.

So would you suggest a better canon printer for my needs or something else? Im really not looking to spend more than 10-15 pence per print.

Secondly, when a cartridge is reviewed saying 200 colour prints. Does this mean A4 prints and in thar case would i get (800 A6) 200 x 4?

Im a novice where printers are concerned but id rather pay more for a good printer with less ink costs.

Cheers.

Your current printer is also a two cartridge model which is not great for high usage at all.

To get better speed, quality and cheaper printing then I would suggest you get a printer with
individual cartridges for each colour and steer clear of the Tri cartridge printers.

The older Canon models are better printers because they use far less ink than the newer models do with their smaller cartridges
so if you go looking for a printer get one that uses the ClI-8 cartridges youll be on to a winner.

When you print with these printers it is easy to see just how much ink is being used up
because they have very good on screen ink monitoring and clear see through cartridges which also help.

As I am only a Canon user so can only recommend this one brand of printer
but some other Epson users may also pipe in to give you their recommendations..:)
