Greetings 🎉 all and happy new year dear printers. I'm Nick. A getting old-ish, life long photographer who like most doesn't want to buy another printer if I don't absolutely need to. I bought this canon pro 100 printer in 2018. It hasn't gotten a lot of use. Today I'm getting alternating white and yellow flashing lights, plus an error code saying it needs repair. I'm in the middle of nowhere plus, as canon probably won't touch it, I'm reaching out for support here, willing to dig in and try and fix it. I could be totally wrong but have a feeling wasted ink has clogged it up. I've begun seeing a fair amount of ink smeared on the edges of prints. Very possibly my refilled carts aren't sealed correctly anymore. The little rubber plugs that sit on top don't really stay put, for example. If I'm right, and If anyone one has advice re taking things apart, cleaning and re-setting the waste ink chip/clearing memory etc, that would be extemely amazing. Thank you! Nick

First of all welcome, now tell how many times the LED’s are flashing and what the error code is, it sounds like you’re having mutable issues all at once..

While your waiting on a fix you could remove the carts and fix the refill plug a bit better or use hot wax to seal the cartridge hole, don’t give up on the printer just yet, the Pro 100 is a tuff old girl..:hugs

O’ and Feck the new year, Merry Christmas first..

Muchas gracias The Hat,

And you know what? Today it works perfectly well. So go figure. Trust me, if it acts up again, I'll chime in again with numbers of blinking lights, for sure. Yesterday I was pulling my hair out. And there's less than there once was. OK.
Gotta say, I love a printer that fixes itself.
