For a printer as old as yours I honestly wouldn't know... Genxinks are new to me and in truth I always have a problem with someone who comes on with the "I got this great kit from... XXX shop" only to later disclose that they are the owner of "XXX shop". Honest it isn't.KeithGP said:I read all of the messages, but what CIS is compatible and best? The genxinks or the inkrepublic? Or are they both compatible and OK?
Thanks for the information. I have an old Epson 860 and I'm so used to buying OEM inks I would know anything else. These CIS system and a new printer would be great for me.
Thanks,
Keith
As for ink republic... I wasn't that keen on their original kits when I tested them out over a year long period, about 3 years ago, but they have moved on since then. Still quite expensive though and I don't know if they'd still do a kit for your printer. You could do worse than ask mind.
Had there not been the whole Epson legal fight in the USA I would have recommended you try inksupply.com for a kit but they've been forced to abandon their CIS kits now so depending on where you are, I'd say think about Rihac.com.au as a supplier with consistently good reviews, excellent support and a higher postage rate.
Doubtless you'll get some other recommendations too... so best of luck
