I am working here with a Canon Pro 9000 MK II.
I have four of them because Cannon was virtually giving them away with cameras etc.
And their print quality is as good as it gets.
But since I have some spares I was playing with the idea of making one a continuous feed.
Does anyone have any experience or tips regarding continuous feed for these?

I also have a IPF 8300 & 6300.
Does anyone have any incite on third party inks for these?
I am looking at "inkjetcarts" and their 700ml refillable carts with their Lucid pigment inks.
They appear to the most experienced with these printers.

You cannot use continuous feed with Canon printers because they want to eject each page when done printing on it. That means it wants to feed your entire roll of paper until it gives up after several feet have been ejected. You need a printer with a cutter on it to automatically cut the roll paper at the right spot.

Right. But so what if it doesn't have a cutter? Can't you make banners with these printers anyway, just by precutting it to length? Or is there something in the driver that prevents this?

I have three Canon A3+ printers and they will only allow a sheet size of 676mm on one and 594mm long on the other two.
So if you try to use a sheet longer than specified the remainder will just come out blank regardless of length.
Canons are really the Pitts with this paper length restriction..:he

All of my Canon printers will allow a custom page length of just over 23 inches.
