Has anyone notice that colors are quite inconsistent among different Canon printer models? Some printers are more vibrant obviously. I found that some latest models that use ink cartridges with print heads on them are particularly inferior.
I bought a computer last year and received a free MP250. It has been sitting there until today. After printing a very first photo I was very disappointed by the quality of this printer. The black in particular is not dark enough. I guess it is not printed by a photo black ink rather it is printed by the mix of CMY inks. Yikes, it's ugly really. I remember printing photos using an ip3000. It did not uase a photo black ink cartridge either. But the photos it printed was quite decent. It printed dark black quite well. I think Canon uses cheap low quality inks in the tri-color CL-211 ink cartridge used by this printer.
