Few years back I was able to purchase a reasonably large number of Canon printheads direct from Canon in the USA, but my understanding is that this may not be possible anymore so I was wondering if anyone over that neck of the woods had tried recently and found that to be the case or not?

Not anticipating a massive demand but I am aware that there's some heads that are reaching end of production/stock life and I need a few for some old printers like the iP4200.

Thanks in advance for any input or research anyone can provide.

:)

Do you also sell printheads at Octoinkjet? I think I'll need one for my MP610 (same as IP4500, MP810 etc.)

:) Not as yet... and unlikely to do them in any quantities... Just thinking ahead for myself at the moment.

If you're in the UK and want a one off the CRC-Tasktron are the best bet:

Yes, Canon USA has been rationing the sale of print heads, at least for older models. When ordering from Canon directly, you can only get one at a time and they keep a record of who buys a print head. You may buy another but there is a delay of unknown duration before they will sell you another one. Reason: Aholes hoarding and then gouging on print head pricing. Good on Canon.

Dammit... You're all on to me... Here I was with plans of ransoming the intelligentsia of the Western world into learning where the "Ooo Kay" was on a map and you toppled to my nefarious plan.

I shall return to the lair and figure out what to do tomorrow... C'mon Pinky!

Just to note I found a solution in the end although it's considerably more expensive than I'd hoped and UK based.

Ah well... at least I'll be VAT registered and able to offset some of the extra cost... :-/
