Hiya's,

Stupid question i guess lol but...........

I have almost used all my inks up that came with my redsetter, It was Ink Swiss and want to order some more online today

Now on the webiste they have two types of colours eg: Photo Cyan or Cyan

Is it just the "plain" cyan etc i need to order ???

I realise i have also to order the two types of Black Ink

Anyone advise me which type of colour to order ?? (i myself am thinking standard colour as maybe the photo inks are similar to epsons that use extra photo colours)

Just want to make sure so i can order ;)

Cheers

I've tried the ink swiss pre-chipped compats, and found the ink wasn't as good as others I've tried. The red comes out much darker, and I don't see any ink swiss black, (pig|), just the normal one.

I've seen the photo inks and they are 1 more, but I'm not sure how much of a difference there will be.

I got some of their american based dye to try (30ml refill kit) which is also cheap, but I'm hoping the colour will be better. I refilled the carts once with the ink from my ciss unit, and that was superb.

Oh and their pre chipped carts do refill and the chip resetter works on them.

photo cyan and photo magenta are low dye load inks that are used in six and eight color printers.

Hiya,

Cheers for the reply :)

Well it's good to know their chipped carts are resettable ;)

Still scouring online for inks and more precise reviews of inks, As always it seems the best inks etc are in the USA

Didn't want to wait too long for a delivery but i guess if i can't dig up some ink from over here i'll have to order from the USA

Thanks Again

Then you could order from Hobbicolors. I found their prices to be lower than the UK supplier I was using including freight charges, and the ink was delivered within a few days by air freight.

Excellent ink too, as others will agree.

I second a recommendation for Hobbicolors. They are very fast and great to deal with. The CLI-8/PGI type inks are excellent.
