Thanks for the links.

Also, are image specialists inks the best "cheaper than OEM alternatives" already that would not damage your printer?

No not all aftermarket cartridges are poorly made far from it but the cheapest ones most certainly are,
that said they are not meant to be refilled either, not even the once.

I believe they are pretty much close to OEM inks, however they are not cheaper that other 3rd party alternative inks,
because good quality inks dont come cheap, look at their website for reassurance..

Oh ok. But they are way cheaper than OEM inks, right?

So basically, what they do is provide you with an empty cartridge that are specially designed to be refilled with their own inks using their own equipments?

Yes I.S. inks are 75% cheaper than OEM ink.
No, Image Specialists dont supply ink to the general public only to dedicated ink suppliers.

Ink suppliers will sell you just the ink, you have to provide and refill your own OEM cartridges
and if you dont have any they can also sell you a limited quantity of OEM empty cartridges
that they may have in stock which they sell separately.

I have provided you with two ink suppliers websites so why dont you check them out
and see for yourself and then things may become a little clearer to you..

Thanks. I did check them out, I just want to make sure of everything.

Will I be sure though that if I buy a new print head, my problem be solved? 6 orange flashes means defective print head, yes, but how about the 11 alternate orange/green flash (my original problem)?

When you keep getting different error messages all the time that just means
the printer is having difficulty communicating with the duff print head..:(

I just bought a Canon Printhead from ebay and on its way here. I still can use the cheap inks that I have, right? I'll just make sure that when any of the ink tanks run low I immediately replace them? Because I noticed that at the time my printer gave errors, the big black ink tank was depleted. How do I know if it's depleted anyway, the liquid in the tank is gone? Won't there still be liquid in the sponge container that is adjacent to the tank itself?

Now that you have bought a new print head why dont you turn over a new leaf by
refilling only OEM cartridges, that way your print head is sure to last you for years?

The best solution for determining the amount of ink that is still left in your cartridges
is to allow the printer to decide and that will never go wrong or let you down.

To reset the chip back to showing full again on your empty cartridge before refilling it,
youll need to get yourself a resetter which can be gotten at the same time when youre buying your new inks.. :)

Yeah, I thought so :)

But if the print head gets here first, can I test it out if it works without any inks in it as long as I don't start printing?
